At last – a chance to view Australia’s iconic and diverse wildlife in the wild where it should be experienced. No zoos or feeding times! Boutique Wildlife Tours take you to the pristine bushland and forests of the Southern Highlands, less than two hours south of Sydney, in search of the animals that make Australia so unique in their natural habitat.
Small, personalised groups (maximum eleven passengers) travel in luxury 4WD vehicles to the Southern Highlands in a tour designed for those who want to see and understand Australia’s wildlife in its natural bush surrounds.

We seek out the animals when they’re most active, with a tour from midday to the late evening that includes lunch or afternoon tea (depending on season) anda hearty country style dinner in one of Australia’s oldest country inns.

Great trip! Saw many Roos, emu, wombats, birds including kookaburras! John was the perfect tour guide. A good lunch and dinner are included. Long day but passed quickly.
Great wine tour with Jim to Hunter Valley. Takes about 2.5 hours to get up there but Jim was full of useful information and the journey passed really quickly. Enjoyed... read more tasting 7 wines at each of two small wineries, then had a nice lunch at local country club, a visit to a local cheese shop and a chocolate shop next door then off for a final tasting of 7 wines.
Just about the right level of tastings (about 1/4 glass each) and great guide

Instead of being brought to a tourist park or a zoo this tour... read more took us with a very small group of people into an adorable town for lunch, Then off in search of animals In their natural habitats With a stop at the historic local pub for dinner. The food was fabulous! It is not guaranteed to see anything but we were able to see probably over 100 kangaroos, 5 Emus, and 13 wombats. Many of the animals come out at dusk. Our wildlife tour with Scotty was amazing. Scotty clearly new exactly where to take us and exactly when. We must have seen over 100 kangaroos and wallabies, at least 6... read more or 7 wombats and he even brought us to a hidden spot on a river at a specific time and and we saw a platypus in the wild. Scotty was clearly a great guy and the perfect guide. His extensive knowledge was obvious and he made us all comfortable and constantly had us laughing. We were extremely impressed with Scotty and the tour. He reminded us a lot of an American wildlife show host we love named Josh Gates so we have dubbed Scotty the Australian Josh Gates. I hope if we visit Sydney again we can book another tour with Scotty. He even gave us advice for the rest of our trip and we listened, we are glad we listened because he was spot on with all of his recommendations.
