Join us for the best Blue Mountains day tour, departing Sydney to explore this million acre World Heritage-listed area. We take you away from the obvious tourist traps to show you the Blue Mountains from an insider’s perspective – from secluded lookouts, rainforest bush tracks and pristine valleys. See Australia’s unique landscapes, and learn local stories and legends about aboriginal culture.
We visit some spectacular lookouts and water falls, and our flexible itinerary allows you to take in a variety of views and walks around the area.
We see all the main sights, like the fascinating Three Sisters, but we take you to the smaller lookouts where you’ll hopefully be the only ones enjoying the view. Peaceful bushwalks enhance the experience, and let you soak up the Mountains atmosphere.
At lunchtime, your guide will help you to choose your own lunch from the choices available in one of the relaxed mountain villages that we visit.
In the afternoon we head down from the mountains for a hands on Australian native wildlife encounter and the chance to feed Kangaroos and have a photo taken with a Koala at Featherdale Wildlife Park! Return to the city in your luxury vehicle to finish off a wonderful day!
At Boutique Uncharted Mountain Tours, there is no typical day!
We pride ourselves on staying flexible, customising each day to suit the needs and wants of our small group of travellers, and enjoying the best the day has to offer. Below however is a guide to how your Blue Mountains tour will generally unfold …
We offer prearranged pick up from many city hotels or nearby locations. Your closest pickup location and time will be confirmed when booking.
Please wait outside your agreed pickup location around 10 minutes beforehand, and do not go to another location without prior confirmation of the change.
It is entirely up to you. We pride ourselves on flexible, personalised tours, so let us know what you want to do, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you! If you’re after some quick walks through the Australian bush, your guide will be able to point out some fantastic hotspots that end with breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. If you’d rather avoid the walking component, we know plenty of easily accessible spots that are just as beautiful, and just as secluded! We want to make our tours work for you, not the other way around!
Certainly! The Three Sisters is one of the more iconic sites of the Blue Mountains. Your experienced guides know a number of isolated lookouts that have stunning, uninterrupted views of the Three Sisters. As well as this majestic landmark, sit back and let us show you Wentworth Falls, the Jamison Valley, Echo Point, the Grose River Valley and more; there’s so much to see in the Blue Mountains!

Great trip! Saw many Roos, emu, wombats, birds including kookaburras! John was the perfect tour guide. A good lunch and dinner are included. Long day but passed quickly.
Great wine tour with Jim to Hunter Valley. Takes about 2.5 hours to get up there but Jim was full of useful information and the journey passed really quickly. Enjoyed... read more tasting 7 wines at each of two small wineries, then had a nice lunch at local country club, a visit to a local cheese shop and a chocolate shop next door then off for a final tasting of 7 wines.
Just about the right level of tastings (about 1/4 glass each) and great guide

We attended this tour in February 2020 and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. Instead of being brought to a tourist park or a zoo this tour... read more took us with a very small group of people into an adorable town for lunch, Then off in search of animals In their natural habitats With a stop at the historic local pub for dinner. The food was fabulous! It is not guaranteed to see anything but we were able to see probably over 100 kangaroos, 5 Emus, and 13 wombats. Many of the animals come out at dusk. John was our guide and we found him energetic, enthusiastic, very kind and entertaining. Very beautiful scenery and so much more exciting to find the animals in their natural habitat then stuck in a small enclosure at a zoo. Thank you boutique tours of Australia!
an awesome way to see the animals and things you won't experience in the city. Pick up and drop off points were limited so check into that. Our... read more driver was on time and friendly. We saw more animals closer to dusk as it was very hot the day of our tour. We enjoyed seeing the kangaroos, wallabys, wombats and emus. We even saw a joey go in the pouch! Spot lighting at night for wombats was definitely a first for us. Our tour took us the Bee and Bear cafe along with the Surveyor General Inn in Berrima both were unique and well worth the visit.
